The journey begins
Today was the day i decided to change. I went to the gym for the first time in a while and decided to weigh myself. I stepped on the scales and got a shock and not a good one. I felt so disappointed with myself for letting it get to this and couldn't help but think about how my fitness had detereorated in the last 5 years. Yes I've had 2 children in that time and getting to the gym is no longer as convenient as it one was, despite living across the road, but i could've done more. I should've done more. Still, there's no point in looking back, this journey is all about looking forward. I had a good workout, spurred on by the earlier disappointment, has a good lunch and then went to the park with the children. More exercise and lots of it. The weather helped to as i actually wanted to be outside doing something. I had a good dinner and felt satisfied. Most importantly i didn't over eat. Is only a small step, but is a good start.
